My work consists of painted/drawn imagery putting together a universe both literal and metaphorical, found/developed while traveling and within the studio.
While the choice of the images is very personal, I try enable a possible natural course of selection take place within my studio and on the road through an endless process of photographing, 'collaging' (using both autonomous imagery and appropriating images/film stills etc.), reducing, enlarging, painting and cutting up (not necessarily in this order).
The slow and meditative process this is, it connects a deep measure of control with elements of abstraction and surprise, and frees up growth of new imagery, both literal and metaphorical...
